My name is Ann Marie Bone and I am a freelance artist with a passion for painting landscapes in vibrant colours, using oil paints, acrylic, watercolour and mixed media.
I graduated from Nottingham University in 1983 and now live in Dovedale, in the beautiful Peak District of Derbyshire, with my wonderful husband David, and we have five grown up children.
Each of my paintings is unique, and although inspired by the scenic area of the UK where I live, they often come from my imagination.
People often say that the use of light and colour in my paintings create images of heaven and this has become quite a significant idea in my art.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of 2014, and after surgery, have made a full recovery. My art is now even more important to me, as I realise how precious life is, and I think my paintings reflect this.
I know that paintings have the ability to evoke emotion in the viewer as well as the artist, and my special relationship with colour and light, is an important factor in making my images special and mood enhancing.
If you'd like to find out more about what I am up to each day, including work in progress and an insight into how I work, then follow me on my new accounts. Let me know the sort of thing you would like to see and I will do my best to oblige.
